Chistopher Samba

intimidating, am i right?

This is the kind of player Arsenal need in their defence. Standing tall around 1.9 metres, good in organising defence as shown in his time with Blackburn, rough tackler and even he has a leadership quality in defence that Arsenal has missed since Tony Adams. If Arsenal do get him, we believe he is more than capable to lead the Arsenal defence and opponents will find Arsenal defence is very intimidating.



Mamadou Sakho
Lately, the rumour about him on moving to Arsenal has become more serious. We think he is good and maybe his abilities are around the same level with Samba but the only problem is he is too young! Certainly he is short of experience and if Arsenal do want to sign him, they need to bring Samba also as we did think the only problem of Arsenal aside their defence is they were short of experience and winning mentality. But whatever are we said just now, Arsenal could still sign him with or without Samba as Arsene Wenger more likely to bring a French player to the side and the only problem to sign him is the value PSG put on his head.

Gervinho

Every time we sat down with Arsenal fans to watch their game, the fans always complained about their strikeforce. They have been saying that Arsenal relied too much on Robin Van Persie, Andrei Arshavin lack of consistency and wasting a hatful of chances coming their way. One of the fans, even mentioned the most important position Arsenal need to invest on is a striker. The fans always talk on the impact of Thierry Henry during his time at Arsenal. They said even that time Arsenal has problem at the back but they still win matches. Even we are not totally convinced with the point but it is still a good point to look at. (looks like we were out of the topic). So now lets talk about Gervinho. Actually he is not an all out striker but he is a winger who is capable to be played as a second striker can be compare with the like of Ashley Young. and Alexis Sanchez. So if the move materialized, he is not the man that you would expect to get 20 goals per season but he will inject some new fresh ideas on left side of Arsenal which Arshavin failed to deliver consistently. But the move looks unlikely as Lille, his current club has set a high value on his head and Lille are not prepared to lose most of their star players in one season.


Karim Benzema

do Arsenal willing to splash the cash on him?

this is the signing that Arsenal fans has been dreaming of. Certainly Benzema is a prolific striker as shown in his time with Olympique Lyon and during his time with Real Madrid lately he has shown a good performance and goals to showed. For us, he is has much to prove to be said  the heir of Thierry Henry but he has all the abilities to succeed since in Madrid, he has the much tougher tasks as he needed to create his chances but in a team like Arsenal, he could be enjoying a great run of scoring as his positioning sense as a striker is very good. If he joined Arsenal, he could be the man that score 20++ goals per season. A move for him is looked likely to happen since Madrid fierce competition but Arsene Wenger must be willing to offer around 20++ million pounds to get his signature.




Our Verdict: only Samba and Sakho looks likely to sign for them as Arsene Wenger is not willing to spend the money needed.
